Veteran golfers know all about strokes and handicaps, and some of them know a lot more than they ever wished to.

But a new golf project that teed off in Decatur a year ago ā€“ Veterans & Friends ā€“ welcomes them all to come out and play through their problems.

It’s open to military veterans, able-bodied and otherwise, and any civilians seeking to golf, despite some handicap in their lives. Players in this bracket range from stroke patients left with one good arm to amputees who have lost a leg.
