The legendary Charlie Daniels was born in North Carolina in 1936. During his 50+ year career, he has scored hits on rock, country, pop, and Christian charts.  A skilled musician on guitar, fiddle and mandolin, Daniels formed a rock ‘n’ roll band early in his career and is known for his contributions to country and southern rock music.

He is best known for his No. 1 country hit “The Devil Went Down to Georgia,” which became a platinum single, topped both country and pop charts, won a Grammy Award, earned three CMA trophies, became a cornerstone of the “Urban Cowboy” movie soundtrack and propelled Daniels’ “Million Mile Reflections” album to triple-platinum sales levels. He is also known for southern rock hits “The South’s Gonna Do It Again” and “Long Haired Country Boy”.

Off The Grid –Doin’ It Dylan, is yet another example of the seemingly endless reservoirs of musical creativity that the now 77 year young Daniels can effortlessly draw upon. The “playing the legend forward” beauty and respect in his tribute to Dylan doesn’t go unnoticed in the tracks.

Daniels has made several trips to perform for our troops. He visited Iraq in 2006 and again in 2009 to perform several sandy shows for our men and women. in 2012, Daniels established the Scholarship for Heroes Concert to help offset tuition for veterans not qualified for 100% of Post-911 and Yellow Ribbon benefits. This year, Clint Black and Kellie Pickler served as headliners and Luke Bryan surprised Daniels and the crowd by coming on stage and performing.
