SunSpec Cyberguardians, a job training and education program funded by the U.S. Department of Energy offers technical, operational, and professional training for military veterans seeking careers in the Distributed Energy (ie solar + wind) industry.
The program currently provides three online accredited courses through the University of California San Diego Extension, each of which requires no previous knowledge of the subject matter and is intended to equip veterans with relevant skills and credentials for the current job market.
SunSpec Cyberguardians offers the following online courses for Summer 2020:
- Introduction to Distributed Energy Resources in the Electric Grid
- Introduction to Cybersecurity in the Smart Energy Environment
- Secure Networking and Communications for Distributed Energy Resources
