Curse of Technology Weapons

From the very time of Cain killing Abel, the invention of more efficient weapons for violent conflict has been a consistent aspect of human endeavor. The conclusion that modern society refuses to accept the reality is that this curse is a direct result of the fallen nature from disobeying God by eating of the forbidden fruit. There is a reason why the high tech totalitarians and trillion dollar behemoth, chose the name APPLE. Weaponry can take many forms but for most of history, armies and navies fought to the death to defend their ruling elites or to extend their empire aspirations. The only such consequence is a theater of operations for dead bodies. For centuries the guidance of Sun Tzu was followed as reflected in Carl von Clausewitz’s famous dictum:

“The art of war teaches us to rely not on the likelihood of the enemy’s not coming, but on our own readiness to receive him; not on the chance of his not attacking, but rather on the fact that we have made our position unassailable.” – Sun Tzu

War is not an independent phenomenon, but the continuation of politics by different means.” – Carl von Clausewitz

For additional context read the selection of Books About War. Then review the US DOD fiscal year 2019 budget that details the high tech armament used to maintain the Amerika Empire.

The combined capabilities and performance of United States (U.S.) weapon systems are unmatched throughout the world, ensuring that U.S. military forces have the advantage over any adversary. The Fiscal Year (FY) 2019 acquisition (Procurement and Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) funding request for the Department of Defense (DoD) budget totals $236.7 billion, which includes base and Overseas Contingency Operations (OCO) funding; $144.3 billion for Procurement funded programs and $92.4 billion for RDT&E funded programs. Of the $236.7 billion, $92.3 billion is for programs that have been designated as Major Defense Acquisition Programs (MDAPs). This book focuses on all funding for the key acquisition programs.

No one can deny that budget expenditures multiply, more deadly destructive systems are developed and the killing fields are targeted for future expansion. Making Sun Tzu proud is not a valid foreign policy. Contrast with this assessment from Douglas MacArthur: “Our country is now geared to an arms economy bred in an artificially induced psychosis of war hysteria and an incessant propaganda of fear.”

This post WWII internationalism deployment relies on high tech arms to wage war to impose a global New World Order. Ordinary individuals are excluded from the decision policy process and hoodwinked into serving in a military that only benefits the Military-Industrial-Security Complex.

Technology makeup is difficult to curtail because the nature of human society is based upon hubris, greed and the joy of obliterating rivals on a mass scale. Starvation is often more effective than a drone strike. Mahatma Gandhi offers this preset for overcoming the evil curse in community conduct. “As human beings, our greatness lays not so much in being able to remake the world – that is the myth of the atomic age – as in being able to remake ourselves.”

Rampant High Tech cannot be tamed any more than mankind can control the effect of the sun on the earth’s climate temperature. Placing trust in science to establish peace ignores their record of building bigger and more powerful munitions. Note the in-depth reporting on military.com  from DefenseTech which stays on top of changes, rounding up the day’s news, linking to sources of information, and providing analysis on what’s ahead.

Yet, humans still have free will and can exclude themselves from the institutions of carnage and domination. Still the anti-war movement of the 1960’s has virtually disappeared since the draft was abolished. Sadly, today’s youth believe they can wage a limited bloodless campaign from a joystick on a glorified virtual reality screen.

The all-knowing gurus of the high tech transhumanism cult would have your brain wired directly to a blue tooth interconnect to receive your daily programming and instructions. The military is deploying weaponize robots; soon the social credit enforcement system will chip you in order to exist in the new and advanced internment camp of tomorrow. The mark of the beast is lurking beneath the surface and the tribulation not too distance off.

Even if you reject the end of days, surely you would have to admit that the curse of technology in weapon development is progressing at frightening speed. Michael Schmitt, professor of public international law and a space war expert at University of Exeter in the United Kingdom asks in, ‘It’s going to happen’: is the world ready for war in space?

Space war is inevitable because today’s modern militaries use space for everything, from spy satellites to a soldier on a mountaintop using satnav to figure out exactly where he or she is. “The reliance upon space is truly extraordinary in contemporary conflict,” says Schmitt. And in any war, one side will seek to deprive the other of their ability to function. In this day and age, that means attacking the satellites.”

This viewpoint is a common sense evaluation based on the entire record of human aggression. From the murder of Abel by Cain to the race to militarize the solar orbits of earth, the saga of inexorable slaughter of our species reigns supreme.

For every enhancement in technology, there is an additional loss in personal and individual autonomy from a destructive society that is designed to marginalize what the elites consider to be useless feeders. War is the preferred method of controlling the masses. According to the Peter Peterson Foundation the U.S. outspends the next seven countries. The United States spends more on national defense than China, Saudi Arabia, India, France, Russia, United Kingdom, and Germany. While the chart above illustrates last year’s defense spending in dollar terms, the United States has historically devoted a larger share of its economy to defense than many of its key allies.

Somehow technology will not reset a foreign policy based upon aggression and empire.
