To Veterans with Invisible Wounds

A message regarding Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome - words to motivate a veteran to get help

2019

by Roland Van Deusen MSW, veteran, retired counselor

My two minute amateur video below is on p.73 of the March 2018 online COMBAT STRESS Magazine, was in PSYCHIATRIC TIMES, the most widely read psychiatric journal, has been used by staff at the VA National Center for PTSD, the Army’s most deployed division, the VA’s nationwide suicide prevention program, and thirty other programs and organizations. This is verifiable.

The message encourages troubled troops and veterans to seek help, and is a tool for their families, friends, and counselors. After 17 years of war, virtually all your readers know someone who knows a troubled vet.
