A ceremony to lay holiday wreaths on the graves of veterans in Kings Highway Cemetery will be among more than 1,000 such events nationwide, organizers said.
The Freelove Baldwin Stow Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution is coordinating the annual event, with support from the city and local veterans groups including the Disabled Veterans of America Post 15, DAR spokeswoman Barbara Stewart said.
The Wreaths Across America event will be held at the cemetery on Saturday, Dec. 17, at noon, Stewart said, and the Milford ceremony will be coordinated with others at 1,000 cemeteries across the nation.
