Military veterans took top priority in the race for Missouri’s next U.S. Senator Wednesday. Political polls show it is a tight race between the major party candidates for U.S. Senate. Today they were seeking votes from military veterans, and asking the vets what needs to be changed.

Democrat Jason Kander, Missouri’s Current Secretary of State, is challenging incumbent Republican Roy Blunt who is asking voters to re-elect him.

Blunt, who got legislation to expand mental health care approved, met with veterans in Overland. among their main concerns, how to mentor returning service members to help them avoid suicide.
