Military Veterans Descend on RNC to Denounce Hate-Speech

CLEVELAND – A large group of military veterans from around the country will converge on the Republican National Convention to protest Donald Trump’s hateful rhetoric towards minority groups and women, his reckless foreign policy, and his track record of disrespecting the veteran community.

The demonstrations are organized by the grassroots, non-partisan movement #VetsVsHate, which held multiple high-profile demonstrations over the past several months calling for Donald Trump to cease using veterans as political props. #VetsVsHate is partnering at the RNC with allied veteran organizations such as Iraq Veterans Against the War.

The veterans will stage multiple actions over the course of the convention, including:

Monday, July 18thrnc
2:00PM – East 45th St, North of Superior Ave – Rally
3:00PM – March alongside allied organizations

Tuesday, July 19th
11:45AM – Public Square Speakers Platform – Speeches by #VetsVsHate members (30 minutes)
Time TBD – Location TBD – Press conference
8:00PM – Agora Theater and Ballroom, 5000 Euclid Ave – Appearance at a concert with the band Prophets of Rage.

Wednesday, July 20th
2:00PM – Public Square Speakers Platform – Speeches by #VetsVsHate members (30 minutes)
