Clinton ally promises $5 million donation to veterans

A close ally of Hillary Clinton said Wednesday that he has lined up an anonymous donor who will donate $5 million to a veterans’ charity — if Donald Trump releases his tax returns to the public by Friday.

David Brock, a former enemy of Clinton’s who has become her unofficial attack dog, said Trump could choose the charity that received the money.

Brock said he would not release the donor’s name, but he said the person was a Republican. Brock asserted that he had both “a signed legal commitment from the donor awaiting Donald Trump’s signature” and a “a bank-verified letter [stating] the funds are available.”
