Another veterans organization is speaking out after getting the boot from Kroger. Delhi Township Veterans Association said the grocerā€™s fundraising policy will hit them hard.

WLWT first told you about Kroger policy changes last week after a group of vets from Harrison were told they couldnā€™t set up their annual fundraiser.

The grocery store put a stop to all solicitors in 2015, except for the Salvation Army bell ringers, Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts. The company sent a statement, saying, in part, “Our stores receive an overwhelming number of requests from charitable organizations to raise money on Kroger properties, and unfortunately, we cannot accommodate all of these requests.”

Now, it’s a different Kroger but the same story in Delhi.

More than 2,200 names are etched on a memorial in Delhi Township paying tribute to the men and women hire vetswho fought for freedom. Each etched name has been made possible through fundraising.

“Every name you see on these walls basically has come from donations from the people in Delhi, and most of it from (fundraising efforts at) Kroger,” said Army veteran Henry Armstrong.
