The Face Of PTSD Documentary Funding Campaign Has Started

Malka Media is proud to share the upcoming start date for the Indiegogo funding campaign in support of the new feature length documentary film The Face of PTSD.  Set to premiere in New York City in 2017, The Face of PTSD is being produced by the team which brought crowdfunding success Back in Time out in 2015.

Executive Producer Louis Krubich and Producer Jason Aron (director, Back in Time) are joined in the production of The Face of PTSD by Jeff Frommer (formerly head of Adobe Digital Publishing) and Dan Fried (formerly Partner at UM Studios), both Executive Producers. Tapping Malka Media’s Derek Brown to direct, and Mitch Hooper to aid in producing the new feature length film, the team will be leaning heavily on the core team at Malka Media in order to unleash the talent of the firm’s energetic creatives.

The Face of PTSD’s Director is excited to work on the film in large part to the weight of it’s subject matter. “You can talk about that passion,” Brown said, “It comes from spending time in the Middle East with deployed troops. It’s important to me.”

The production plans to heavily include interviews with those who suffer from PTSD. Soldiers like professional fitness model, and US Army veteran, Colin Wayne, who is working with the production staff in support of crowdfunding efforts. Industry professionals with extensive experience in treating PTSD will also feature in the film.

For the crowdfunding campaign the producers chose to work with Indiegogo as a result of the platform’s strong commitment to charitable causes. Two exceptional veteran’s charities— Backpacks for Life and Soldier’s Angels—are partnered with the production. Support for both a charity and the production of The Face of PTSD will be made possible through donations during the film’s crowdfunding campaign, set to last X days, starting May 9.
