Military veterans looking for information, or who may have questions about their eligibility for certain benefits, will have two opportunities this month to meet and talk with a variety of experts. The St. Louis County Veterans Service Office is hosting two town hall meetings for veterans on May 24-25 in Hibbing and Duluth, respectively, from 9 a.m. to noon each day.
āWe want to make it as easy as possible for veterans to learn about the benefits theyāve earned, and so we try to get as many resources as we can and people with answers in one place at one time,ā said Sherry Rodriguez, director of the St. Louis County Veterans Service Office, in a news relĆ©ase.
The events will be at the Hibbing Memorial Building at 400 E. 23rd St., and American Legion Post 71, 5814 Grand Ave., in Duluth.
The meetings will include representatives from the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs, Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans (MACV), the Twin Ports Outpatient Clinic, and the Silver Bay Veterans Home, plus staff from the offices of Rep. Rick Nolan and Sen. Amy Klobuchar, and the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Transportation Coordinator.
