The mission of the Million Veteran March (MVM) is to deployĀ veteran marches nationwide to proudly support our nationās veterans in a patriotic way and raise awareness to the issues affecting veterans.Ā MVM provides assistance to homeless, unemployed, and less fortunate veterans, to improve their quality of life.
MVM aims to organize, plan, and implement veteran marches throughout the country to honor our veteranās service, their sacrifice and to enthusiastically support our nationās values.Ā MVM aims to build solidarity among veterans and Veteran Service Organizations to raise awareness to the issues that affect veterans.Ā MVM also aims to provide homeless, unemployed, or under privileged Veterans with hunger relief and other comprehensive resources.
WARMING TENTS
The Million Veteran March Warming Tent for the Homeless Project is when members of the Million Veteran March, volunteers, and sponsors locate areas within cities where there is a presence of the homeless and underprivileged.
The MVM sets up tents during the winter months that are equipped with heat, sleeping cots, cold weather gear, backpacks, food, hot and cold beverages, information on where and how to receive emergency shelter, and other assistance that is available in their immediate area.
Military service is not a requirement to receive assistance at our Warming Tent Project, however our focus is on locating Veterans that are in need of assistance.Ā This program is continued year round with our version of the Meals on Wheels program, which we identify those that are in need of assistance and we deliver meals and groceries to them at their residence or wherever they find shelter.
ABOUT MVM
The MVM is a 501(c) 19, not for profit, tax exempt Veteran Organization.Ā Ā The MVM regular membership is comprised entirely of war veterans.Ā We are not a protest organization and do not promote political agendas.Ā Instead MVM operate in a spirit of unity with every Veteran and those promoting the cause of Veterans.
