Winning a Super Tuesday state by 19 points seems like it would matter, but Sen. Bernie Sandersā victory in Colorado didnāt earn him more delegates than Hillary Clinton. In fact, she may end up with an even greater amount, despite a big loss at the polls.
Of the 78 delegates up for grabs in Colorado, Sanders won 38. And so did Clinton. How can that be? Itās not that 59 to 40 percent is counted as a tie in The Centennial State, but rather, has something to do with something called a superdelegate.
Only 66 of the 78 state delegates in Colorado are actually delegates in the most specific sense. The other 12 are superdelegates, elected Democratic Party officials who are not bound by a stateās poll or election results. So, after the 66 was divvied up proportionally according to the state partyās caucus rules, 38 to Sanders and 28 to Clinton, the superdelegates were free to choose which candidate to support.
Ten of Coloradoās superdelegates chose Clinton, while two remain uncommitted, hence the 38 to 38 current share of the stateās delegates between the two presidential candidates.
That is bad news for the Sanders supporters in Colorado who helped the democratic socialist win in nearly 80 percent of the stateās 64 counties and turn out more Democratic voters than even those who voted in the 2008 primary that featured the rising political rock star of the day, then-Senator Barack Obama.
Things could still possibly get worse for those āfeeling the Bernā in Colorado. Distribution of the stateās 66 delegates could still change, because as theyāre selected at party meetings in the run-up to the state party convention in April, the delegates at county conventions are unbound, according to the Denver Post. Only at the state party convention will the delegate count be finalized.
The 12 superdelegates are under pressure to move to Sanders out of respect for the caucus voting results from Super Tuesday, but thereās no sign of them doing so.
“I appreciate the intense attraction that Senator Sanders has for many, but my support for Secretary Clinton has never wavered,” Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper, who is also a superdelegate, told the Denver Post on Wednesday through a spokesperson.
Along with Minnesota, Oklahoma, and Vermont, Sanders won Colorado on Super Tuesday. He also won in the New Hampshire primary earlier this month. Clinton has won nine states so far and has about 1,052 delegates to Sandersā 427.
American presidential election politics is a cross between a talent show and a beauty contest.
Being smart and coherent does not necessarily pay dividends. Case in point: Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. Both are front-runners of their parties. Trump is idiosyncratic and raw; Clinton the ultimate establishment insider. Is this a choice, or merely bad theater?

No way out of that. It is now inbred. They all believe in their exceptionalism.
Even at the risk of being seemingly negative, Debbie, the US, whether it is Clinton, with all the characteristics of a budding psychopath, a Netanyahu mouthpiece, or Sanders, too old to carry the weight of independent thought and action or having an ability to resist his background tendencies and yes, like it or not, another puppet for Israel, or that loudmouthed clown, Trump, everything that America represents in 2016, or his competitor, Cruz, the machine-gun bacon candidate, both as bad as the other, but the USA is finished as a respected world power.
There was once a chance of recovering some values after Bush. By indicting that non-intellectual social misfit and then by Obama acting as a real President and pulling Israel into line. He failed, he didn’t even try, even with most of America, except the neocons, right behind him.
An opportunity lost and in 8 years, AIPAC is now the default Congress of the USA.
No country can recover from having a choice of these people. Clinton, with her glibness and superficial charm, grandiose sense of self-worth, pathological lying, cunning and manipulative and without remorse, emotionally shallow, callous without any sign of empathy with her unwillingness to accept responsibility for her past actions. She is a fraud. But they do well in the USA. They flourish.
A US Presidential candidate?
Now if you didn’t see her in Washington in 2003,wildly jubilant over Bush’s declaration of war on Iraq, knowing that it was based on lies, that Saddam had complied to all the demands of the cruel US negotiatorsā¦.oil leases to go to the US corporates, billions in US supplied infrastructure, millions of US made vehicles to satisfy that industry and country elections, just to name a few. Yes, all known to that woman, a picture of whom at that time was perhaps the most sickening sight I have ever seen. I liken it to the JFK assassination, the killers soon known to all and the bombing of the USS Liberty in 1967 when America lost whatever decency it ever had after which the Israelis could say and did, “we own America”. And they do and every day in some way they grab the vitals and squeeze and never a squeak by the likes of Clinton or the rest of the subservient politicians.
This then is the candidate representing half of the population of the USA?
If the system has allowed the decent people of the USA to have a choice of just those mentioned above in 2016, based on the corruptly-used SuperPAC’s, legal vehicles for graft and corruption, then they deserve what they get and the world and its future will pay the price from November onwards.
Yes, Bernie Sanders has a “truely different message” which makes him living evidence and proof of the adage,
“good guys always finish last.” Ć la Ron Paul.
He may not be a loser, but he will never be a winner. If he even began to look like one, he would be Wellstoned.
He is tolerated by the Zionists and AIPAC Lobbyists who make the decisions and selections in US politics and that is why you never hear the “whole truth” from him, and why he remains, alive, kicking, and “visible evidence” that the “American” electoral process is a “free and open and democratic opportunity for one and all.”
I have a sneaking, dirty suspicion/prediction that AIPAC Lobbyists are going to run Hillary as Presidential Candidate on the Democratic ticket, and that they will stack the deck so that she will win, simply to demonstrate to the American public and, especially to the rest of the politicians in the arena, that they have the powers to elect anyone they damned well want to the office…. (Caligula sent his horse Incitatus named a Citizen of Rome, and appointed Consul and Member of the Senate to demonstrate the absolute nature of his power in Rome) for, anyone who could get that warmongering superficial, ambitious women into that office, after the Obama debacle, must have the powers of God!
On the other hand, the handlers are going viciously after the GOP front runner to steer clear of a Trump vs Hillary showdown. If nothing he will embarrass the shit out of her and them. It will be a sight to behold.
Obama? He has not been as docile, compliant and cooperative as they expected him to be when they cut the deal with him. He will become a post-facto political non-entity like Jimmy Carter, whom they have also long pretty well demolished, or at least, decapitated, as a voice of reason in the political arena.
We will never see a free and honest man in office anywhere in America until the entire election campaign funding program has been reformed to get BIG MONEY out of the arena.
Nor Israeli money buying elections and politicians in Washington, DC.
Kill the powers of lobbyists on capitol Hill!
