ITC electric transmission company, which has a regional office in Oklahoma City, presented two all-terrain wheelchairs known as Action Trackchairs to the Mid-America Chapter of the Paralyzed Veterans of America.

ITC employees raised the money to buy Trackchairs this holiday season to present to American veterans wanting to reclaim the outdoors. The presentation was Tuesday at the Paralyzed Veterans of America Mid-America Chapter office, 6108 NW 63, according to a news release.

ITC is donating the chairs to Paralyzed Veterans of America organizations in states where the company has hire vetsoperations. In Oklahoma, the company has built high-voltage lines in southeastern Oklahoma for Western Farmers Electric Cooperative.

The chairs are capable of traversing a variety of terrains, allowing veterans to experience off-road adventures and activities such as hunting and hiking.

  1. Hmmmm. Two of these “Trackchairs” to a chapter of the Paralyzed Veterans of America. Several questions arise. Will the two vehicles be awarded by a lotto system? Practicality requires consideration. Who will provide the vehicle that is required to haul this “Trackchair” around? And who will provide maintenance on this exceedingly complicated vehicle? Addiitional questions arise, which I will not mention – – .
