With Veterans Day approaching, the Morris County Clerk’s Office and some local veterans and businesses celebrated a milestone Friday in the county’s discount program for vets.

More than 200 businesses have now signed to the Operation Give Back program started in July in which veterans obtain a special ID card through the county and are eligible for discounts at the participating businesses, said County Clerk Ann Grossi.

Meanwhile, more than 2,000 veterans have signed up, Grossi said during a gathering in her office of about 50 business people, veterans and political leaders.hire vets
