There are only two homeless female veteran shelters in New York State. One of them is run by the Rural Preservation Company–the Guardian House.
The Guardian House is in need of your help. Able to house less than capacity of homeless female veterans, the House needs to renovate its bottom floor. This will allow the Guardian House to receive disabled veterans and make the shelter more of a home rather than a reminder that these homeless veterans are struggling.
On November 10th, We Stand Comedy is hosting a benefit for the women of the Guardian House in an effort to raise $10,000 to provide monies to renovate that bottom floor. This night of comedy is for you too, and your donations will go to help make one of only two homeless female veterans shelters a place of change and acceptance.
Our stretch goal is $20,000, this will allow the Guardian House to renovate, furnish and even paint the new floor. We Stand Comedy is doing its best to reach out to companies, individuals and other supporters of veterans to help these females in need. Many of them suffer from military sexual trauma, PTSD and wartime injuries. If you can, please share this page and help us help these women.
All donations will go to The Guardian House through Hometown Heroes, a 501(c)(3) organization each donation is a tax writeoff.
