After about six weeks in their new Billings office, the organization Volunteers of America is eager to show the public not only its new digs but how they hope to serve more of Montana’s at-risk veterans.

The recipient of a $6 million, three-year grant from the Veterans Administration to expand support services for veterans across the state, VOA plans an open house in Billings next week to talk to the community about the work to be done.

VOA has scheduled a ribbon-cutting, kickoff event and open house beginning at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at its new office, 219 N. 30th St.hire vets

The Sheridan, Wyo.-based organization will have some of its senior management team on hand to speak and answer questions. Mayor Tom Hanel will also speak.
