One of Pasadena’s most recognizable landmarks is serving as a symbol for a serious concern.Military veterans are keeping vigil along the Colorado Street Bridge around the clock, all to spread awareness about veteran suicide.
“If we can bring awareness, then maybe we have a fighting chance,” said William Valenzuela, who walks the quarter-mile stretch of the Colorado Street Bridge for an hour at a time.
Wellness Works, a local veterans support group based in Glendale, came up with what they
are calling “Not On My Watch,” a symbolic gesture along the historic span in Pasadena.
