Veterans see improvements in medical care

Wants to Know is seeing improvements for veterans who came forward with concerns about VA medical care.

Three hundred veterans filled out the Veterans Care Form six weeks ago on 9NEWS.com, and we took those forms to administrators at the Denver VA hospital.

“For a good five years, I have been after them, because it keeps getting worse and worse,” said Art Hoenighausen, a Vietnam veteran who filled out the form hoping to get the VA to approve knee replacement surgery.hire vets

“Right now, it’s bone on bone,” said Hoenighausen, saying his knee pain and instability has limited what he can do at his job as a machinist.
