Like other students, veterans and active-duty service members gain most from distance education that is affordable, accessible and reputable.
The 2015 Best Online Programs for Veterans rankings measure these factors in consideration of financial benefits available specifically to people with military experience.
The annual rankings cover online bachelor’s degree programs, as well as online master’s degree programs in business, education, engineering, computer information technology and nursing.
For the 2015 edition, the online business rankings have been split into two: one ranking of MBA programs and 
another of other types of business master’s degrees, such as accounting, finance and organizational leadership. Rankings of criminal justice programs, including both criminal justice and criminology master’s degrees, are also new this year.
