Senator Sheldon Whitehouse hosted an annual event for Rhode Island’s veterans in Warwick Saturday.
The 8th Annual Veterans Breakfast and Resource Fair was held at the Rhode Island National Guard Armory on Airport Road and served as a venue for veterans to take their concerns to Whitehouse, as well as find information, services and employment.
Congressman David Cicilline, Major General Kevin McBride of the National Guard, and VA Medical Center Director Dr. Susan MacKenzie also attended.
“Our veterans get a lot of value out of fellowship with other veterans, and they appreciate the
number of people who come here to listen to them and to make sure that things are going okay for them,” Whitehouse said.
