Former Sen. Jim Webb shares thoughts on veterans’ issues

Former U.S. Sen. Jim Webb of Virginia continued his a swing across Iowa on Saturday, introducing himself to residents and explaining why Democrats are needed at the forefront of today’s democracy.

Webb, a Democrat who also served as secretary of the Navy, announced he was considering a run for president in a YouTube video in November.

At Waterloo’s Sullivan Brothers Iowa Veterans Museum, Webb discussed his military experience and ideas on how tohire vets make the U.S. military and veterans better. He served in the Marines during the Vietnam War until he was wounded.
