Veterans asked questions about benefits, policies, procedures and other issues Thursday, and received answers ā or the promise to get answers in some cases.
About 50 people turned out for the second Town Hall meeting at the Veterans Affairs Illiana Health Care System in Danville; a meeting also was conducted in Peoria in December. The meetings, which are open to the public, are scheduled on a quarterly basis to share information, hear feedback and answer questions.
Afterward, Illiana Director Japhet C. Rivera said he thought the meeting went well. A couple of the issues were the same ones that arose at the last Danville meeting in September, and a couple involved isolated instances.
