Montgomery County Recorder of Deeds Nancy Becker has been recognized yet again for her work helping county veterans.
On Tuesday, Becker was recognized by Harvard Universityās Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation in the John F. Kennedy School of Government for the veteransā ID card program which started in 2012.
āIt is a great honor to be recognized, however most important is the help we are providing for our Veterans, not only in Montgomery County, but across the country. The program also advertises local businesses and gives them a chance to show our Veterans how much they appreciate their service to our Country,ā Becker said in an email.
Becker and the veteransā ID program are one of 124 programs being recognized out of 500 applications. A spokesperson for the Ash CenterĀ for Democratic Governance and Innovation said programs are recognized once every two years. The last group of winners to be recognized were in 2013.
