The most comprehensive, well detailed, thoroughly researched, plain language, guide to business I have ever read. Rise: The Veteran’s Field Manual For Starting Your Own Business & Conquering The Online Economy by Wes O’Donnell may be the best business guide ever published. Believe me, I’m not just saying that, this isn’t buzz or hyperbole.
I’ve been involved in the online economy and small business for 20 years, it’s my bread and butter. Although O’Donnell delivers his information from the perspective of a Military Veteran and aims it at fellow Veterans, who suffer an unemployment rate that is twice that of civilians.
This is an essential no nonsense guide to every aspect of real business that is essential for any entrepreneur. Although I am not a former veteran, I can say with all honesty that I wish I had this book when I had started out. This is the book I would have written, but O’Donnell has beaten me to it and he has done an excellent job of it. For veterans looking for direction in this crazy economy: O’Donnell takes the emotions, mindsets, ethics and experiences of military service and relates them with direct comparison to the discipline needed to create a stable and financially successful business.
The detail is thorough and direction implicit, and as a business person I can tell you that it is spot on. In any other business manual I have read there is always something missing, be it an intentional secret or lack of knowledge on the author’s part, no business manual I have read gives you the full picture or exacting detail provided in this book. Highly Recommended.
