Investor donates building for veterans center

A banner outside the empty auto dealership on the corner of West Scott and North Main streets says Esprit de’ Corps, the official name of the new veterans center of Fond du Lac County.

The phrase, which is used in the military, means pride, fellowship and common loyalty, organizers say.

Jim Lindberg, president of A to Z Vending & Food Services in Fond du Lac, donated the building and lot. The plan is to renovate and expand the building to create a gathering place and resource center for the many veterans groups scattered throughout the county.
