Armed Forces members and veterans invited to win a free wedding or vow renewal during the 2nd Annual “Las Vegas Marries the Military”

Submissions now open for weddings and vow renewals to take place throughout Las Vegas on Nov. 8, 2018

LAS VEGAS  – Wedding chapels, venues and industry members across the Las Vegas valley will kick off Veterans Day weekend by honoring military members during the 2nd Annual “Las Vegas Marries the Military.” Couples where one party is a member of the Armed Forces are invited to apply to win a free Las Vegas wedding or vow renewal. All day Nov. 8, 2018, wedding venues and professionals across Las Vegas and Clark County will open their doors to selected couples. Submissions to win a free wedding or vow renewal are now open at

Interested couples must submit a 30-60 second video telling what a Las Vegas wedding or vow renewal would mean to them. All submissions must be received by Wednesday, Sept. 26.

The Office of the County Clerk and Las Vegas Wedding Chamber of Commerce put a call out valley-wide to the local industry to participate and received overwhelming support – 58 industry vendors have offered free services valued at nearly $70,000 with 25 weddings or vow renewals to take place county-wide.

Las Vegas is rare in that it offers wedding services from the grand resorts and country clubs to the simple chapel wedding. The local wedding industry stepped up to support our military. The range of wedding venues and services showcases the broad range of wedding services across the county.

“Veterans Day is one of our favorite holidays because it allows us to thank active-duty members and veterans, along with their families, for all of their sacrifice on our behalf. Las Vegas Marries the Military allows us to offer a tangible ‘Thank You’ from our wedding community to these special couples,” said Clark County Clerk Lynn Marie Goya.

All wedding and vow renewals will take place on Thursday, November 8 as a kickoff to Veterans Day Weekend. A group reception will follow the day-long festivities.
