What started as a small vocational workshop in Wichita in 1933 is now one of the most trusted resources for people who are blind or visually impaired, as well as for the professionals and caretakers who serve them.
It all began with a simple broom made in their Wichita shop. This grew into a partnership with the Lions Clubs across the nation and its Caravan of Brooms, a driving force in keeping our shop afloat through lean, post-war years. Their ability to embrace change and defy expectations with quality, new products let them grow into janitorial products.
Envision is transforming the employment landscape for people with visual impairments with the BVI Workforce Innovation Center. This national initiative provides an unparalleled focus on training people with vision loss, placing them into jobs and providing accessibility inclusion expertise to businesses.
Envision continues to serve as a hub for crucial services, education and social interaction for people who are blind or visually impaired, as well as for their caretakers and the professionals who serve them. With the resources, the knowledge and the heart to keep striving forward, Envision is ready to serve and defy expectations.
