Easier access for veterans’ healthcare?

Veterans who want to see a doctor are losing the fight when it comes to getting healthcare services. A program called Veterans Choice is not getting any funding.

One veteran and some congressmen say, without more money, this program won’t be able to help those in need.

Robert Stampf served in the Army for 26 years. He relies on Veterans Affairs to help with his medical care, but ran into a problem this summer.

“They couldn’t give me an appointment with a neurologist in July, so they referred me to Veterans Choice and the first available appointment was not in July, it was October. Unacceptable.”
