Tallahassee’s new outpatient veterans clinic is just days away from being completely open.

The opening is highly anticipated, but some veterans say the new clinic is causing them some concern.

“A lot of us are handicap, and can’t get up that hill,” said John Robinson, a veteran. “It’s way too far for us to have to walk.”

The clinic is located on the corner of Orange Avenue and Blairstone Road. The city bus service StarMetro does have a stop near the intersection, but the main entrance to the clinic is still a far walk away for some. It’s nearly a half mile, and may include two hills depending on which direction you travel.
