It’s sad and shameful that heroes whoâve served this country face despair when seeking help. Yet thatâs exactly whatâs happening right now; too many veterans experience bureaucratic nightmares and long waits for medical treatments. The good news is that people in New Hampshire are taking steps to improve veteransâ care.
Earlier this summer, the association that represents all hospitals in the state agreed to take part in the âHospitals for Heroesâ campaign. New Hampshire hospitals will provide care for eligible veterans and cover the costs, ensuring that veteransâ health care isnât a nightmare. This is an honorable and proactive step toward making good on our nationâs promise to these heroes.
