Senate Armed Services Committee Holds Closed Hearing On Syria

By Bill Theobald

A liberal group and a newly formed veterans’ organization attempted Thursday to put Republican Sen. John McCain in a political vise between GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump and the senator’s devotion to military service.

Common Defense PAC, which registered in June with the Federal Election Commission, and MoveOn.org delivered petitions containing 100,000 names to McCain’s Capitol Hill offices, calling on him to withdraw his endorsement of Trump’s candidacy.

Before that, six veterans, including a Muslim veteran from McCain’s home state of Arizona, praised the former Vietnam prisoner of war as “courageous” and a “man of honor” in pleading with him to reject Trump.

  1. Unlike Obama who bent and let them screw him for fame, Trump doesn’t need the fame. He was attacked by his own party right from the start but he fought them and won the nomination. Now that the War party has Hillary safely in their pocket, they have decided to throw Trump under the bulldozer.

Trump’s family might encourage him to drop out for peace of mind and sanity, I would if he was my father and I loved and respected him. It’s not worth fighting and sacrificing for people who don’t deserve it. Trump has seen how they have treated veterans and he genuinely wants to improve things for them but they don’t trust him. Not worth fighting for a deluded folk who have been brainwashed into thinking they are an exceptional nation of warriors.

Let them vote for a compromised and corrupt Hillary backed by neocons for more wars. Arlington National cemetery and other cemeteries are choked with graves of fallen soldiers.

  2. So, what EXACTLY did these SUPPOSED veterans do while in the service? Did they pilot a desk in Wing Headquarters? I read the original http://www.usatoday.com article and it was a bunch of political hooey. One’s gay, one’s Muslim; for crying out load, grow some testicles.

Rather than these guys looking for some shoulder to cry on, perhaps they might look at McCain’s deplorable service record (he is NO hero) and as far as Mr Khan is concerned, perhaps the veterans involved would be better off looking at his association with Hillary’s emails and her association with the Muslim Brotherhood.

McCain is yet another corrupt globalist NeoCon who will do anything to save face as long as it doesn’t involve having a conscience, not unlike his stint in Hanoi. It’s no wonder why this will probably be his last term in office since he votes along Democrat lines more than remembering the Constitution.
