During Attorney General Mark Herring’s remarks at the state Veterans of Foreign Wars convention, he encouraged military vets to attend the next pro bono veterans legal services clinic set to take place in August.
“We’ve got 800,000 veterans, we’re home to the Pentagon and the wold’s largest naval base,” Herring said in an interview with 13News Now. “So, to be able to identify ways to help them and their families is tremendously rewarding for me.”
The day-long event August 2, will take place at Thomas Nelson Community College in Hampton. It will include free powers of attorney, wills, and advance medical directives for low-income veterans, as well as benefit information sessions from the Department of Veterans Services.
